presumably the schedule times are local Cusco time? But is there an Internet address for live transmission of the events in English or German? ………. HW

    Dear Herwig,

There has not been very good information offered about the transmission of the events on foreign channels. There was a report a week ago in local media that a Japanese TV station might be offering it live.

Yesterday, Radioprogramas del Peru reported that UNESCO has weighed in on the celebration plans and as a result, Peru’s government will be restricting access of journalists, that the planned fireworks display at the ruins was being canceled, and that if there is a concert, it will not be held in the Citadel.

In any case it’s a good bet whatever the festivities turn out to be, you’ll be able to tune in on Peru’s national public station via the Internet:

    Click on “TV En Vivo”
